The other day my son Jakes received a call at 11:00am, he walked away to talk to whoever had called. When he came back to the kitchen, I asked him who had called. Oh my God, you should have seen his face, he looked like a wounded lion, he whined and whined that I was getting into his private affairs and was under no obligation to explain who it was. I decided to ask my other son the same question later in the evening when he received a call. This one was more direct, he told me on my face, “Mum it’s not right for you to ask me when I receive a call, I’m 18”. I didn’t give up, I waited for my daughter to receive a call and I asked the same question, she gladly told me who had called, what they wanted and what they had agreed on!

I was left wondering, why men find it so hard to answer this simple question even when they are talking to relatives and friends. So I ask again, do men get offended by this simple question, “who is that?”
